Goldie R. Moyer, 91, of Beaver Springs passed away peacefully on Friday, April 12 at her home with her loving family by her side.
She was born May 13, 1932 in Selinsgrove, a daughter of the late William P. and Dorothy E. (Ulrich) Ritter. On April 2, 1955 she married Raymond E. Moyer who survives.
Goldie was a graduate of Freeburg High School with the class of 1950.
She was a very active member of Grace Reformed Church in Troxelville.
Goldie worked as a secretary at the Selinsgrove Shirt Factory, a stenographer for the Transportation Dept. in Harrisburg, a secretary at Susquehanna University and at West Snyder High School. Raymond and Goldie also co-owned Moyer's Tropical Treat where she enjoyed serving the community.
She was very active in the Middlecreek Area Community Center, the Beaver Springs Senior Center, and regularly traveled with the Middleburg Area Retired Person group. She was known to have a green thumb and enjoyed gardening and flowers. Goldie loved attending sporting events, especially for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was an avid Philadelphia Phillies Fan.
In addition to her husband Raymond of 69 years, she is survived by four children, Deb (Donald "Knuck") Romig, Doug (Beth) Moyer, Vicki (John) Zeigler, and Tim (Cindy) Moyer; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one sister, Sandra Bowersox; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother, William Ritter.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 19 from 12-2 pm at Beavertown God's Missionary Church, 1693 Creek Rd., Middleburg followed by the funeral service at 2 with Pastor Dwight Rine officiating.
Burial will follow in Adamsburg Cemetery, Beaver Springs.
